3M™ 2090 Professional Masking Tape is a high-quality, multi-surface masking tape designed for professional painting, decorating and general masking applications. Manufactured by 3M™, it features a blue crepe paper backing with an acrylic adhesive, providing medium adhesion and reliable performance across a wide range of smooth and lightly textured surfaces.

Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, 3M™ 2090 provides excellent versatility and is particularly well suited to masking windows, glass, woodwork, plastic, tiles, metal, walls, ceilings and other commonly painted surfaces. Its UV and water-resistant construction makes it suitable for applications where the tape may be exposed to sunlight or moisture during the masking process.

The medium-adhesion acrylic adhesive provides dependable holding power while allowing the tape to be removed cleanly without damaging the underlying surface or leaving unwanted sticky residue when used within the recommended application period. 3M™ 2090 can be cleanly removed for up to 14 days after application, making it particularly useful for longer-duration painting and decorating projects.
