Pallet Wrap

Pallet wrap, also known as stretch wrap and stretch film, is a strong plastic film that is stretched around items to keep them tightly bound and secure. Stretch film is commonly used for securing pallets and goods during transit.

Stretch wrap is made in two main ways, which include being blown or cast. Cast stretch wrap is extremely clear and has tensile strength. Blown stretch wrap is suitable for colder environments and is highly puncture resistant.

There are two types of pallet wrap available on the market, these are:

  • Hand pallet wrap is designed to be applied manually by hand and is typically used in small to medium operations where the volumes of pallets wrapped per day are relatively low.
  • Machine pallet wrap is designed to be applied using a pallet wrap machine to mechanically wrap pallets with an improved yield, providing cost savings from film efficiency.

Pallet wrap is available in different thicknesses, which can be measured in either gauge or micron and usually the thicker the film is, the stronger it is.

If there is a particular colour or thickness of film you require which is not on our website, please contact the office on 01422 833855 or enquiries@williamhayes.co.uk for information on pricing and lead times.
