Purchasing Goods
After browsing our website/shop, please add any items you wish to purchase into the shopping basket. Once you have selected all the items you require, continue to ‘checkout’, where you will be asked to enter the details required for us to complete your order.
Our technical advice is offered in good faith but without warranty. The user is responsible for testing the products under their own conditions of use, assuring themselves that it is suitable for their particular purpose.
All prices displayed in our shop are accurate to the best of our knowledge, but mistakes do happen. We reserve the right to amend prices prior to issuing an invoice, should it come to light that an error has been made in under-pricing products, or if we are no longer able to supply a product at the displayed price. Customers will always be contacted to ensure that any amended prices are acceptable, prior to dispatch of goods. William Hayes Ltd reserves the right to cancel orders, in the event that errors in pricing have been made. All prices displayed are excluding VAT and delivery. E&OE.
Shipping
All deliveries are made by either Royal Mail or our carrier, and require a signature. The carrier will attempt to deliver twice; Charges for extra delivery attempts or change of delivery address will be payable by the customer. There is a £10 charge to the customer for consignments that are returned to William Hayes Ltd due to a failed delivery.
Shipping charges for the UK Mainland cover England, Wales and Southern Scotland. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and UK Offshore will incur extra charges; William Hayes Ltd will inform you of the extra charges prior to dispatching any goods, so that you have the opportunity to either select another delivery address or cancel the order.
Orders will usually be dispatched within 24 hours and should be with you within 2-3 working days. If a product is not in stock, you will be informed of the lead time, and given the opportunity to cancel your order should the lead time not be acceptable.
Shipping Charges
UK Mainland: £7.95 for orders up to £20.00 in value.
UK Mainland: £4.95 for orders over £100.00 in value.
Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands may incur additional charges, dependant on the size of the package. William Hayes Ltd will inform you of any extra charges prior to dispatch of any goods, so that you have the opportunity to either select another delivery address or cancel the order.

Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel an order within seven working days of purchase or within seven working days of receipt of the goods (whichever is the longer). This does not apply to items personalised or made to your specifications. Should you wish to cancel your purchase within seven working days, please contact us in writing; either by letter or by email. All items must be appropriately packaged and returned within 14 days, unused in their original packaging in a re-saleable condition and the tags still attached (if applicable) along with the invoice to:
Orders where goods are received back after 14 days will be charged a 20% restocking fee. We cannot accept liability for returned goods lost or damaged during transit. You are advised to wrap the product carefully to avoid damage and to return goods by recorded delivery, registered post or by carrier. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The cost of returning goods will be borne by the customer. The cost of return of goods cancelled after dispatch will be borne by customer.
You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase, within 30 days after we receive your return or 7-day cancellation notice. Shipping and Handling charges will not be refunded for (1) undeliverable packages (including those for which the shipper cannot locate the customer, resulting in the order being returned to sender or abandoned), (2) deliveries that are refused (including instances in which the customer is unwilling to pay any applicable taxes or duties which results in the order being returned to sender or abandoned) or (3) orders cancelled after the goods have been shipped. All undeliverable or refused orders will be treated as a return, with the same policy applied as returned items. Where items are shipped with free delivery; Shipping and Handling charges for undeliverable packages are worked out using Royal Mail Standard Postal Rates 2012.
In the unlikely event that you receive damaged goods, please notify us in writing (or by email) within 7 days of receipt and goods will be re-dispatched on return of faulty items.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases; please let us know if you are not entirely satisfied with our products or our service, so that we can rectify the situation. Items are described and photographed as accurately as possible, but please note that brands, sizes, colours and designs may vary slightly from advertisement. We reserve the right to substitute goods within your order with goods of an equivalent nature (e.g. a red binder for a blue binder). If you do not wish to accept the substituted goods then you must return them to us within 14 days of their receipt.
