Description

3M™ 201E General Purpose Masking Tape is a premium-quality masking tape designed for a wide range of professional, industrial and workshop applications. Manufactured by 3M™, it features a chamois-coloured crepe paper backing with a cross-linked rubber resin adhesive, providing good instant adhesion and reliable holding power.

Designed for indoor use, 3M™ 201E offers good solvent and moisture resistance and is suitable for applications requiring increased temperature resistance. The tape can withstand temperatures of up to 80 °C for one hour, making it suitable for short-term paint masking and applications involving low-temperature bake cycles.

The conformable crepe paper backing allows the tape to follow contours and corners while maintaining its integrity. It is easy to tear by hand and is designed to resist slivering during application. The rubber resin adhesive provides good holding power, helping to resist lifting and curling while reducing the need for rework.

3M™ 201E is suitable for short-term paint masking, fixing, bundling, holding, sealing and temporary attachment. It provides good paint lines and helps resist paint bleed-through, while allowing clean removal from most suitable surfaces when used within the recommended conditions.
